When shall that unprecedented occasion arise, when we get externally and internally disentangled and proceed on the path laid by the great men while breaking the acute bondage of all connections?
By adopting an objective attitude towards all situations, we may be holding the body only for the sake of restraint without the slightest attachment for it and aspire for nothing else on any other account. By virtue of enlightenment arising with the destruction of deluding perception, we may stay aware of pure consciousness as distinct from the body and witness the diminishing level of character-related delusion while remaining aware of the pure Self. Reducing the mental, verbal and physical activities to the minimal level, we may maintain self-awareness during the remaining life and not lose it even in times of great distress or terrible pain. Subjecting all activities to restraint and continually reducing their scope in line with the precepts of omniscient Lords, we may stay soul-oriented and ultimately get absorbed within the Self. Giving up craving and aversion for five sense-objects and averting the mental distraction from five types of indolence, we may move about as destined but lust-free and bereft of any impact of substance, space, time or mode. One should have provocative disposition towards the anger, remain proud of humility towards the arrogance, stay unconcerned towards the concernment and remain miserly in covetousness. There would arise no wrath even towards those who inflict the acute pain, no pride even if an emperor bows, not a trace of concern even in case of loss of life and no covetousness even in the case of highly treasured accomplishments. Resorting to the well known attributes of nudity, shaven-head, non-bathing, non-brushing etc. and avoiding hair-dyes, manicure or other make up, we may stay totally disentangled while observing external and internal restraints. Let there prevail equanimity towards the friends and foes and in case of respect or disrespect; let there be no concern for life or death, and let pure equanimity prevail irrespective of the embodied or the liberated state. While moving lonely on cremation grounds or even in mountain ranges in the midst of tigers and lions, we stay in steady posture without perturbance in mind, as if we are in the company of closest friends. There may be no mental strain even from acute austerity and no sense of delight with delicious food; whether it is a dust particle or heavenly prosperity; all of them are seen merely as lifeless objects of identical nature. Thus vanquishing the character-related delusion, I may reach the unprecedented state and rising over the skipping ladder attain the state where prevails the unique contemplation of intensely pious nature. Thus, swimming over Swayambhooraman sea of delusion, I reach the stage of delusion-free state and attaining total detachment at the end, I would manifest the inherent treasure of omniscience. Since the seed of embodiment stands uprooted by the destruction of four defiling Karmas, the soul merely remains aware and knowledgeable of every mode and stays gratified with its infinitely illuminating vigor and purity. Only with prevalence of situation-conferring and other non-defiling Karmas during the remaining life, the body merely retains its shape like a burnt cord and no embodiment is warranted at the end of that life. Freed from mental, verbal and physical particles of Karma and from all connections with lifeless objects, there might prevail the highly graceful, blissful and totally unbinding, unembodied state. It is the state where there is no contact with a single particle; it is unadulterated, non-oscillating, pure, untainted, fully conscious, unique, unalterable, intangible and innate state. By virtue of earlier push etc. the liberated soul rises upward and settles in the abode of liberated. It stays in infinite and absolute bliss that has beginning but no end, and is imbibed with infinite perception and infinite enlightenment. That is the state perceived by the omniscient Lords in their enlightenment, but even the Lords could not express it in words. What can any one else say about the state, which can only be experienced? Rajchandraji says that he has conceived of attaining that state even though it is currently beyond his reach and hence only an aspiration; he is, however, confident to reach that state by the grace of Lords. |
